Following recent changes to UK law, Companies House are set to significantly increase their fees from 1 May 2024, for the first time since 2016.
This could present a potential hurdle for small businesses and start-ups where financial management is paramount. If you’re looking to register your new company, the new fee will be £50, replacing the existing fee of £12.
The increase affects registration fees for limited companies, limited liability partnerships, overseas companies and entities, Scottish qualifying partnerships and UK Economic Interest Grouping and UK Societas.
The increase in fees will affect existing businesses too. One fee in particular Directors will immediately notice is the increase in the confirmation statement, rising from £13 to £34.
